Back in November, I hosted a beginner modern calligraphy workshop at High Street. I love this venue because of the big windows that bring in such beautiful natural light! Plus it’s always fun to do a little shopping here (even though I don’t usually have any energy left to shop after teaching a workshop lol).
In my beginner modern calligraphy workshops, each student receives a 12 page lettering resource guide that includes a lowercase and uppercase alphabet exemplar and practice drill sheets that we go through together during the workshop. The entire booklet is created by me!
It has sort of become a tradition for me to hand letter a reusable Starbucks cup for each student. These also double as my place cards.
These beautiful flower arrangements were created by Coquitlam Florist.
The students helped themselves to beverages, popcorn, fruit, and cupcakes.
First we went through the lowercase alphabet and then we learned to connect letters.
I try to keep my workshops on the more intimate side so there is time for one on one support if necessary!
At the end of the workshop, we gave away a door prize from Mary Hill Co. One lucky student went home with these beautiful locally made scrunchies!
Each student also went home with a keepsake tote bag filled with goodies.
It was another successful workshop! To sign up for my upcoming workshop on February 9th 2020, click here.
