This year I was really feeling the bright and colourful holiday palette so I put together this Merry and Bright Christmas celebration along with some talented local vendors!
I thought it would be fun to put together a “Christmas present” photo backdrop. I found a variety of square coloured plates from the dollar store, then I used washi tape to mimick ribbon. Lastly, I taped on a gift bow on each one and voila! I made about 60 of these and Krista of Radiant Beauties stuck them to the wall using painter’s tape.
Little did I know how much of a headache they would be! We used painter’s tape so we wouldn’t damage the walls but the problem was that the plates were just a touch too heavy to stay up and they kept falling! It pretty much turned into a festive version of whack a mole LOL. For the record, when Krista first attached them to the wall they WERE straight (for about 5 whole minutes). It’s fine if you don’t look too closely!
Little Balloon Company made us this amazing balloon tree and we surrounded it with presents wrapped in fun and bright prints.
For our table set up, we started with a blush tablecloth and added festive plateware that I bought from Bonjour Fete. Little Balloon Company provided us with the gold letter balloons for our backdrop.
Cakes by Peddie made us the most amazing bow wrapped gift cake, along with the cutest mini cakes, peppermint macarons, and sugar cookies.
I had to sneak in a hand lettered chalkboard and some ornaments too!
I hope our party has you feeling festive for this holiday season!
xoxo Bev
