I teamed up with You Floral (a Victoria based company that offers bulk quantity flowers shipped right to your door) to bring you this super easy DIY minimalist holiday wreath! I gathered a few supplies and once the greenery arrived at my doorstep, I was ready to go. Honestly, I think this wreath only took me about 15 minutes to put together!
Here’s everything you need to create this wreath:
- Floral hoop (I purchased this one at Michael’s and then painted it gold)
- Pruners or sharp scissors
- Floral Wire (also purchased at Michael’s)
- Assorted greenery (I used nagi, hypericum, seeded eucalyptus, baby blue eucalyptus and ruscus)
- Optional: ornaments, pinecones, small decorations
First, I cut assorted pieces of greenery into smaller pieces. Mine were about 4″-5″ inches long but shorter stems would work nicely as well. Next I grouped together about 3-4 pieces of greenery to create small “bouquets” and attached them to the hoop using floral wire.
I created a somewhat symmetrical design where I had the upper half of the stems facing up and for the lower half of my wreath, the stems were facing in the opposite direction.
Once you are happy with you design, you can add some ornaments, pine cones, or other small decorations like faux antlers or snowflakes to your wreath by attaching them with floral wire.
Of course, I think it looks good on its own as well!
This wreath is currently hanging on my front door. I made it a few weeks ago so the leaves have dried out a little but I still think it looks charming. If you give it a try, tag us at @handletteredlovebybev and @_youfloral and use the hashtag #HLLBBwreath so I can see your creations!
