I recently hosted my first calligraphy and cocktails workshop at the beautiful Provincial Spirits and I think it’s safe to say that it won’t be my last!
Provincial Spirits is a local distillery offering specialty cocktails in house as well as bottled spirits and cocktails in tins to take home. Their space was the perfect size for an intimate calligraphy workshop!
Blush and Balsam made us these beautiful, summery flower arrangements.
Each student received a personalized hand lettered gift made by me.
And this was the first group to receive my newly designed hand lettered tote bags!
We sipped on gin and grapefruit cocktails while we worked. Yum!
Of course I had to bring some other nibbles for us to enjoy during the workshop.
We learned the technique for creating faux calligraphy and went through the lowercase alphabet before moving on to connecting letters.
Each student went home with a keepsake tote bag filled with goodies including a $10 gift certificate for Violet + Ruby and a watercolour print from local artist Ashley Burnett.
We also gave away a door prize from Poco Soap Co. to one lucky student!
These ladies did a great job and I am looking forward to hosting another workshop at this great venue!
