This soft and romantic shoot from Anzhelika Gekkelman Photography was inspired by a poem by Alexander Pushkin. I consider myself so lucky to have had my hand lettered items be a part of this romantic shoot!
Here’s what Anzhelika had to say about the shoot!
Inspired by a poem written by Alexander Pushkin, I designed this editorial to portray soft glances, elegant movements, and little breathless moments of romance. My father would recite bits and pieces of his poems when I was growing up and I felt a deeper connection to his poetry the older I became. This particular poem spoke of the first moment this woman appeared before this eyes, in enchanting light and leaving him in a daze. She disappears and he goes through a whirlwind of emotions of sorrow and pain. It ends with her reappearing and his heart becomes revived with love and light.
The colour palette of blush, peach, and cream is so ethereal and romantic. The Vancouver Club is simply stunning!
The cake was inspired by the designs on the fireplace at the Vancouver Club.
I love how Anzhelika was able to capture my hand lettered mirror and vow books!
