When I first heard about the Confetti Box in Burnaby, I was definitely intrigued. The Confetti Box is made up of 16 life-size interactive photo installations where you throw confetti around and snap some fun pics. I decided to check it out with my friend Kelsey, who is one half of The MacLeans, a husband and wife photography/videography team.
Your ticket includes admission to the Confetti Box in one hour time slots and confetti! We knew it would be a challenge to snap photos with all 16 installations in a one hour time slot so we picked the ones we liked the best and skipped the rest.
This time I didn’t forget my hand lettered signage!
Kelsey and I always have a fun time with these creative shoots but we felt a bit rushed in order to get all the shots we wanted within a one hour time slot. We were lucky that they let us stay an extra 15 minutes before getting kicked out! We also found the tickets to be on the pricey side so if you choose to visit, you have to LOVE taking photos in order for it to be worthwhile!
Some tips for visiting the Confetti Box:
- The lighting in the building isn’t great so a good camera and some post editing might be helpful.
- Your ticket is only valid on the day and time of your ticket selection and tickets are non-refundable so make sure you select the correct date! Also make sure you are on time because your time slot will not be extended if you are late.
- EVERYONE requires a ticket, including babies and children. However, on Thursdays Confetti Box offers free admission for kids aged 0-10 with a paying adult.
