If you are a Disney lover like me, you will appreciate this gorgeous styled wedding shoot inspired by the classic tale as old as time, Beauty and the Beast. When the live-action remake came out last year, I was inspired to pull together a Beauty and the Beast themed wedding shoot in only 10 days! Thankfully I had an amazing team of local vendors who jumped on board and together we created this elegant and romantic styled shoot with subtle touches of the Disney film.
I chose a dreamy color palette of royal blue mixed with deep reds, pinks, and touches of gold. I made sure to include subtle references to the lovable Lumière, Cogworth, Chip and Mrs. Potts by incorporating gold candelabras, clocks, teacups and teapots into our table décor. The vintage teacups and teapots were filled with romantic cranberry red and blush florals as well as luscious greenery. We also added vintage books to our tablescape to showcase Belle’s love of reading. On the menu we included mouth watering French hors d’oeuvres and entrees including beef ragout and cheese soufflé, both heard in the popular song “Be Our Guest”.
Our seating chart was hand lettered by yours truly on an elegant enchanted mirror and kenziecards made us the cutest little invitation suite!
Swaneset Bay Resort and Country Club was the perfect setting for our fairytale inspired shoot. With stunning sixty-foot ceilings and ornate chandeliers, it was impossible not to feel like a princess in this picturesque venue. Instead of the classic yellow dress from the film, our Belle model wore a dreamy ivory and gold sequined dress from Truvelle while our prince wore a royal blue suit, reminiscent of the Beast’s ballroom attire.
For our dessert table, we adorned a refinished vanity table with decadent sweets, vintage teacups, and romantic florals. Desserts included Lumière’s “grey stuff” brownies, hand decorated sugar cookies, enchanted rose cupcakes, Belle and Prince cake pops and a stunning four tiered gold rose wedding cake.
Lastly, we created a magical vignette including a vintage chair, romantic candles, a hand-lettered mirror and a DIY floating rose encased in a glass cloche.
Are you loving the Disney wedding themed weddings as much as I am?
xoxo Bev
